i got ahold of the iphone and ipod touch 2.0 firmware over third partys and i installed the ipod 2.0 firm on my ipod but it all ends in the screen that you get when you first bought it but its pink or purple this is what itunes says "the device is not regersered as part of our program bla bla bla" how can i "activate" the 2.0 firmware by the way i have windows XP

absolutely not. You still need that iTunes thing, and that's NOT 2.0... check http://houseofdap.com/ to get cool meizu players (they are importated in america and europe by Dane-Elec). They are smart and cheap, and support UMS
